The Lazy's Favorite Trainer

- INTRODUCTION -

As someone who has always played Bully with a mouse and keyboard, the idea for this mod came from a simple inconvenience "Having to move my right hand to the arrow keys just to navigate menus". I wonder, why bother using the arrow keys when my mouse is already there, doing nothing? That's what led me to the concept of pointer-based navigation.

It's functionally similar to arrow-key navigation in that you still can't rotate the camera. With arrow-key navigation, your right hand is busy pressing keys. With pointer-based navigation, camera control is disabled while the menu is open. Still, this approach makes the experience feel more intuitive and natural, especially for mouse users.

In addition, pointer-based navigation enables many convenience features such as:

• []Targeting by bounding box. Simply click on a pedestrian, vehicle, or object to apply an action rather than relying on the default limited targeting system.

  []Click to locate. Click directly on the ground to set a location instead of dealing with randomly assigned positions or manually adjusting coordinates.

  []Faster menu navigation. Hold and drag the scroll thumb to browse the menu rather than patiently pressing arrow keys until you reach the desired option.

  []Resizable window. Freely adjust the menu's position, scale, width, and height to suit your preference.

  - FEATURES -

  Press F1 (or Fn + F1 on some laptops) to open the menu and you'll get:

  Just remember: Press F1 (default) to toggle the menu on or off anytime.

  - CONTROLS -

  • []F1 (default): show / hide menu.

    []Mouse Left Button: select.

    []Mouse Right Button: back to previous menu / cancel.

    []Mouse Scroll: navigate through the menu.

  If you're having trouble selecting a bounding box because you can't rotate the camera, simply hide the menu first and rotate the camera toward the object you want. Then, show the menu again to make your selection.

  - INSTALLATION -

  Requirement: Derpy's Script Loader 11 or greater

  Installation Instructions:

  - Extract the 7z archive

  - Copy (or Cut) _derpy_script_loader folder

  - Paste it to your Bully - Scholarship Edition folder

  Uninstallation Instructions:

  - Delete the  "../derpy_script_loader/scripts/The Lazy's Favorite Trainer"

  1. How to change the menu activation button?

  It’s simple! Ask an AI or search online:

  “What’s the decimal value of the DIK code for ?”

  “What’s the decimal value of the DIK code for F1?”

  • []Once you have the number, open ../_derpy_script_loader/scripts/The Lazy's Favorite Trainer/Config.ini file with Notepad.

    []Then, change this line: show_hide_key: 59

  • Replace 59 with your desired key's DIK value.

  Example:

  If you want to change the menu activation key from F1 to Q, simply update the config like this:

  show_hide_key: 16

  2. Is this compatible with controllers?

  Not at the moment. Unfortunately, controllers have too many limitations, and I can't get creative with them (yet).
