BL4 Super Dash - One-Key Super Dash

BL4 SuperDash

BL4 Super Dash performs Borderlands 4's Super Dash movement technique with a single rebindable keyboard key, mouse button or gamepad button.

It also provides an optional separate Dash bind for grounded dashing in the current movement direction, including forward and diagonal dashing while running or sprinting.

The mod uses Borderlands 4's native Dash and Jump movement calls instead of external macro software.

Starting with version 1. 2. 0, Super Dash follows the player's current movement direction, including keyboard diagonals and continuous analog stick angles on gamepad.

DIRECTIONAL BEHAVIOR

Version 1. 2. 0 captures the current movement direction when Super Dash is activated.

Keyboard supports:

• Forward + Left

• Forward + Right

• Backward + Left

• Backward + Right

Gamepad movement uses the current analog stick angle continuously, including angles between the usual 8 directions.

Stick magnitude does not change Super Dash power. Only the movement angle is used.

If the character is effectively stationary, Super Dash is performed forward relative to the current view.

HOW IT WORKS

Borderlands 4 exposes four native Dash directions.

BL4 Super Dash starts the nearest native Dash direction and then aligns the horizontal Dash velocity with the exact movement angle captured when the mod was activated.

The native horizontal Dash speed is preserved, while vertical velocity is left intact.

The mod waits for the game to actually begin the Dash before continuing the Super Dash sequence with the native Jump call.

If Super Dash was started while the character was already sprinting, the mod remembers that state and restores the game's normal sprint intent after landing.

INSTALLATION

1. Intstall latest BL-SDK / Oak2 Mod Manager

https://github.com/bl-sdk/oak2-mod-manager/releases/latest

2. Download the main mod archive from the Files tab.

3. Extract BL4_SuperDash.sdkmod from the downloaded archive.

4. Copy BL4_SuperDash.sdkmod to:

Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\

5. Do not extract BL4_SuperDash.sdkmod itself.

6. Start Borderlands 4.

7. Open the PythonSDK / Mods menu.

8. Enable BL4 Super Dash.

9. Open the BL4 Super Dash settings.

10. Bind Super Dash to the desired keyboard key, mouse button or gamepad button.

Updating BL4 Super Dash:

1. Fully close Borderlands 4.

2. Download the latest version of BL4 Super Dash.

3. Replace the existing BL4_SuperDash.sdkmod in:

Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\

with the new file.

4. Do not extract the .sdkmod file.

5. Start Borderlands 4 again.

CONFIGURATION

The default values are the tested release settings and normally do not need to be changed.

Movement Neutral Frames: 1

Jump Hold (ms): 25

Jump Release -> Dash Release (ms): 15

Dash Start Timeout (ms): 300

These settings are available through the BL4 Super Dash settings in the PythonSDK / Mods menu.

SPRINT PRESERVATION

If Super Dash is activated while the character is already sprinting, the mod remembers the actual sprint state.
