BL4 AutoReload

BL4 AutoReload adds four selectable reload behaviors to Borderlands 4 while keeping the game's native reload logic, which helps eliminate game's built-in reload delay on zero ammo.

Instead of replacing or simulating the reload itself, the mod asks the game to start its normal reload. This preserves normal reload animations, reload speed, bonuses and interruption behavior.

AVAILABLE MODES

Does not automatically reload when the last round is fired. Reload begins only when Fire is pressed again while the magazine is already empty.

The same empty-fire behavior, limited to Jakobs weapons.

INSTALLATION

1. Download and install the latest BL-SDK / Oak2 Mod Manager release:

https://github.com/bl-sdk/oak2-mod-manager/releases/latest

2. Download the main mod archive from the Files tab.

3. Extract BL4_AutoReload.sdkmod from the downloaded archive.

4. Copy BL4_AutoReload.sdkmod to:

Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\

5. Do not extract BL4_AutoReload.sdkmod itself.

6. Start Borderlands 4.

7. Open the PythonSDK / Mods menu.

8. Enable BL4 AutoReload.

9. Open the BL4 AutoReload settings and select the desired Behavior.

Updating BL4 AutoReload:

1. Fully close Borderlands 4.

2. Download the latest version of BL4 AutoReload.

3. Replace the existing BL4_AutoReload.sdkmod in:

Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\

with the new file.

4. Do not extract the .sdkmod file.

5. Start Borderlands 4 again.

CONFIGURATION

Open the BL4 AutoReload settings and select the desired Behavior.

For the Empty Fire Reload modes, the mod discovers the current Action_Fire bindings at runtime and also updates them after control mappings are rebuilt, so normal in-game control remapping is supported.

COMPATIBILITY

• The mod does not replace weapon animations or modify reload speed values.

• It triggers the game's own reload logic and is designed to remain compatible with normal weapon reload mechanics.
