Wigless Cainhurst Helmet

HATE.

Let me tell you how much I've come to hate fake hair on helmets since I began playing FromSoftware games.

There are 387. 44 million miles of bloodstained geometry in Yharnam, Lothric and the Lands Between combined. If the word "hate" was engraved on every pixel of those miles, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for FromSoft’s fake helmet hair at this micro-instant.

For fake hair.

For that limp, glued-on, inescapable, follicular atrocity.

They desecrate beauty. They ruin greatness. They slap a mop on divinity.

The Cainhurst Helmet, a gothic marvel, intricate and refined... yet you pollute it with a stringy curtain of Count Chocula cosplay.

The Billed Mask, a symbol of elegance and nobility... defiled with greasy shreds of sadness.

The Banished Knight Helm, a design so perfect it could be etched into time, sullied by the bleached trimmings of a molting mop dog.

Raging Wolf Helm? More like Sulking Sheep Foil.

Maliketh’s Helm? Majestic. Fearsome. Shackled to a shampoo commercial gone horribly wrong.

Even the Okina Mask, once a warrior’s grimacing death mask... is now forced to wear a party store wig.

And the worst crime?

You made it permanent.

No toggle. No variants. No choice. You knew what you were doing.

You stared into the eyes of your own brilliant design... and you stapled hair to it.

Do you dream of scalp aesthetics in your sleep, FromSoftware?

Do you awaken at midnight, screaming, “It needs more strands!”?

What void inside you cries out, “This samurai mask is missing a patchy mullet!”?

You put hair on the Eccentric’s Hood.

You put hair on the Zamor Mask.

You put hair on the Royal Remains Helm and ruined the ghost king aesthetic forever.

You put hair on Ansbach’s mask, a man who already has hair and a beard underneath.

There was nothing wrong with these helms. You made it wrong.

You turned triumph into travesty. You turned dread into drab.

You took greatness... and you gave it bangs.

I cannot forgive.

I cannot forget.

And I cannot unequip the hair.
