Introduction
This is a Bloodborne mod entirely focused on fighting bosses. This mod was made especially for practicing boss fights and trying out different builds, without having to spend hours on getting to the boss and upgrading your character, as well as for players who mainly enjoy the boss fights for replayability. Killing a boss doesn't disable them, so that you can keep fighting them.
Note that this mod is meant as a standalone experience due to all the changes it makes. You should use a dedicated character slot for it, not use that character in the vanilla game, and conversely, not use vanilla characters with the mod as not only will this cause problems with the mod, but their story progress will most likely become bugged.
This mod assumes you have the Old Hunters DLC. It may still work without, but your character slot will probably be bricked if you select a DLC boss.
Main features (Sandbox Mode)
After creating a character, you'll get teleported to the Hunter's Dream. Interact with the Yharnam Headstone and select "Initialize Boss Arena" to automatically receive a variety of convenience items and unlock all features available at the Dream. These are the main ones:
- []Single boss selection: Select a boss to warp to it. After defeating it, you'll be back at the Dream. All main story and DLC bosses are available.[/]
-
[]Boss Rush: Fight a series of bosses in a linear or random sequence. You can optionally exclude bosses from the pool, and customize options related to Blood Vial/Quicksilver Bullet refills.[/]
[]Chalice Dungeon bosses: While not directly available from the headstone options or in Boss Rush mode, you can place any of the 10 story Chalices (automatically given) and immediately warp to any of the 3 bosses within them.[/]
-
[]A shop is available with most items in the game obtainable for free. You can get items individually, or receive all items in a category (for example, all weapons or Caryll Runes) in one go.[/]
[]A customizable Blood Gem generator is included.[/]
- []Increase the New Game+ cycle at any point. Note that it's not possible to revert this without using external tools. NG+ with a high level character is recommended when playing Boss Rush mode in order to equalize the bosses' scaling. NG+ also applies to Chalice Dungeon bosses now (only for Depth 1-3).[/]
- []Cheats: You can toggle infinite HP, stamina and Quicksilver Bullets.[/]
-
[]Levelling up and weapon upgrades cost no materials or echoes. All workshop tools are available immediately.[/]
Main features (Progression Mode)
- []Uses the same framework as Sandbox, but you start with almost nothing (starting equipment plus 6000 echoes and 2 Blood Stone Shards, to make the first boss more manageable), the shop only sells a limited selection of items, and you must obtain most items and upgrades from defeating bosses.[/]
- []Bosses are unlocked in the same order as the normal game's progression. Some bosses will reward you with Chalices, which you can use to fight the respective bosses within the dungeon.[/]
- []Every boss awards you upgrade items for your weapons, as well as the following:[/]
- 2 random pieces of attire
- A random Caryll Rune or Hunter Tool
- 2 Blood Gems (some fixed, some semi-random)
(Aside from Blood Gems, you may not always receive an item of each type, if the RNG lands on one you already have)
- []Higher NG+ cycles progressively increase the amount of RNG rolls, enhancing the chances of obtaining items and allowing for multiple drops of each category at once. NG+ also increases the tier of Blood Gems obtained (no change beyond NG+1 in this case).[/]
-
[]Defeating certain major bosses unlocks infinite upgrade materials of the previous tier at the shop.[/]
[]You start with 10 automatically restocking Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets. Defeating bosses will increase that number at regular intervals.[/]
[*]To prevent farming/grinding
