Description
Upon a strong enough parry, enemies will leave themselves vulnerable depending on your version. There are four different versions:
-
[]Slowed (DeS, DS1, BB, DS3, DeSR, ER)
[
]Stagger (DS2)[]Posture (Sekiro)
[]Tiered
Slowed
Slowed parries take after the most popular form of the parry from games like Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. In this mode, performing a successful parry causes enemies to become greatly slowed.

Stagger
Stagger parries only appear in Dark Souls 2. In this mode, performing a successful parry causes enemies to stagger and fall backwards.

Posture
Posture parries take after the Sekiro games. In this mode, multiple, consecutive parries must be pulled off. Once you perform the last parry the enemy can experience one of three effects, depending on what you choose in the menu book:
- Slowed : The enemy will become greatly slowed (similar to the Slowed parry type)
- Stagger : The enemy will stagger and fall backwards (similar to the Stagger parry type)
- Disarm (default): The enemy will release their weapon and be stunned for a brief moment
Tiered
Tiered parries are not from any particular game by FromSoftware. In this mode, performing a weaker parry causes the enemy to be slowed as per the Slowed parry mode and performing a stronger parry causes the enemy to be staggered as per the Stagger parry mode.
Do a parry as you normally would, however, whatever you parry with must be traveling above a minimum velocity before clashing with the enemy's weapon to be considered a FromSoftware parry. To be generous, this velocity is quite low, but it's a skill that takes getting used to. Basically all settings for the mod can be tweaked via the mods tab in the menu book.
Adding your Own SFX
In this version of the mod, I've added the ability to use your own custom MP3 sound effect to use when you parry. All you have to do is take the MP3 of your choice and move it into the FromSoftwareParry mod folder. Keep in mind that it only supports one MP3 file at a time, so be sure to move out the default one I've provided. If you move in multiple, which sound it chooses is undefined behavior.
