📋 About This Mod

What does AdaptiveAI do?

Adaptive AI makes enemies get smarter, tougher, or more cautious depending on how well you fight. The better you perform, landing more hits, taking less damage, and killing faster the more aggressive and relentless enemies become. If you start struggling, they’ll ease off a bit to keep the balance fair and dynamic.

What did the AdaptiveAI: Evolution Update add?

AdaptiveAI: Evolution Update takes everything from the original mod and completely rebuilds it from the ground up. Enemies now learn from player performance over time, think of it as a mini neural network, always adapting to you. Every swing, parry, dodge, and mistake teaches them something new. Over time, they evolve their own fighting styles to match yours.

The better you fight, the more they adapt, enemies become more unpredictable and intelligent with every swing. If you start destroying them, they’ll counter, bait, and strike with precision. If you struggle, they’ll hold back and give you room to recover. Every encounter is training regiment for them, and for you, so we can defeat the PCVR players together!

What does the AdaptiveAI: Ascension Update do?

The Ascension Update builds on Evolution with a whole new layer of intelligence, features, and adaptive behaviours.

It expands learning depth, adds new reactive systems, and introduces more advanced decision-making to push enemy AI far beyond anything the base game offers.

What does the AdaptiveAI: Ascension V2 Update do?

This is about the second iteration of the Ascension V2 Update, which adds version switching between V1, V2, and the original Evolution Overhaul, and also has general improvements to the 1. 5 version of the mod and its adaptability rate.

How does it work?

The Evolution and Ascension systems track your fighting behaviour across your entire play session, not just a single battle.

The AI observes your habits, remembers your tempo, and constantly recalibrates itself.

Here’s what was new from Evolution

  • []Combat Memory: Every enemy remembers how you fight and adapts when you face them again.[/]

[]Attack Prediction: They study your most common swings and anticipate where your next one will come from.[/]

[]Dynamic Timing: The AI reacts to your speed and consistency, changing its own pace to match yours.[/]

[]Long-Term Learning: Enemies grow stronger and more aware the longer you play, even after multiple battles.[/]

[]True Balance: When you win, they evolve to match you. When you fall behind, they ease off to keep fights fair but tense.[/]

Here’s what the Ascension Update adds

[]Multi-Layered Behaviour Trees – Enemies use multiple adaptive layers (aggression, defense, spacing, timing, prediction) that merge into one dynamic fighting style.

[]Advanced Counter-Formation Logic – NPCs coordinate with allies, flank intelligently, time group attacks, and avoid reckless rushing.

[]Adaptive Counterwindows – Counter-timing adjusts dynamically based on your parry consistency and defensive patterns.

[]Momentum Tracking System – Reads your combat flow; ramps difficulty if you’re dominating and eases pressure if you're overwhelmed.

[]Intelligent Feint Recognition – Enemies analyse fake swings and respond with dodges, blocks, counters, or feints of their own.

[]Spatial Awareness 2. 0 – Improved positional heatmap that tracks angle preference, distance control, vertical attacks, and movement rhythm.

[]Behaviour Shift Profiles – NPCs switch between Punisher, Defensive, Predictive, and Pressure modes depending on how you fight.

[]Dynamic Stamina & Pressure Scaling – NPCs simulate realistic fatigue, pacing themselves with bursts, recovery, and pressure patterns.

[]Ranged Intelligence Upgrade – Ranged enemies lead shots, predict dodges, avoid friendly fire, and sync with melee teammates.

[]True Long-Term Memory System – Enemies remember your combos, weaknesses, dodge habits, and rhythm across your entire play session.

[]Performance-Optimized Neural Simulation – Rewritten core logic for smoother behaviour updates and lower CPU usage.

[]Natural Difficulty Curve – A smoother, more human-like difficulty progression without unnatural spikes.

[]Anti-Grab Intelligence – Enemies resist being grabbed based on your strength, stamina, and prior grab attempts, making cheese-grabbing far harder.

[*]Head Protection System – NPCs now guard their head more intelligently, raising defense
