📋 About This Mod
This mod simply adds a Named Item Chance row to the tooltip when you hover over an enemy camp. The tooltip row should only be added on camps that can have named items.
No scouting information is displayed. No details about the named item(s) in the camp are displayed, if any do exist. This mod merely calculates the likelihood of named item(s) appearing as the loot for a camp.
As a reminder, named items are generated when the camp spawns, so this mod does not generate any loot. You can read more details on the calculation at the Named and Legendary Items page of the WIki, specifically looking at the Locations section for the math involved.
New for version 1. 1. 3
1. Undead and regular ruins have different named item chance. To obfuscate the enemy type in ruins, I changed the mod to display a range for named items chance. So, if you enter a ruins location and there is undead, the named item(s) chance is the high end of the range. Otherwise, for all other enemies (orcs, goblins, nomads, and brigands), use the low end of the range.
New for version 1. 1. 0
1. With the help of Ruphin and Elda, two user's in Slurgi's Discord, we added two extra lines to the mod that display how likely it is for 1 item to drop or for 2 items to drop.
2. I added a mod settings page. You can find the settings by pressing Escape then navigating to Mod Settings and finally by finding the "Named Item Chance on Enemy Locations" mod in the list of mods on the left side.
How to use:
1. Install this mod by dropping the .zip folder downloaded from the Files tab to the "data" directory of the Battle Brothers installation folder.
2. Start the game and load your save/start a new run.
3. When you find an enemy camp, hover your mouse cursor on the camp to view more info. The Named Item Chance line of the tooltip will appear on camps that can potentially have named items.

Attribution:
The idea for this mod comes from the Named Item Chance Display on Camps (Blazing Deserts) mod by cleverfool97. I made many changes though, such as hooking the getTooltip function, removing the enemy type in the camp, changing where in the tooltip the named item(s) chance is displayed.
Adds an info-only display showing the chance of named items spawning at camps in Fallout 76. For players hunting rare loot, this UI mod provides at-a-glance odds without altering gameplay. Lightweight and recently updated, though with modest community traction.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Useful for loot hunters—no more guessing which camps have named items
- Lightweight UI mod that doesn't affect gameplay balance
- Recently updated (Dec 2025), so likely compatible with current game version
⚠️ Cons
- Small userbase (29 endorsements) means limited community feedback
- Only shows chance, not guaranteed spawns—still relies on RNG
For Fallout 76 players who farm named items and want to optimize their routes. If you're a completionist or trader, this saves time. Skip if you prefer gameplay-altering mods—this is purely informational.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a UI mod, make sure to place it in the correct mod folder (e.g., ~mods) for Fallout 76.
- Check the mod's page for any required UI frameworks like SFE or MCM—if none listed, it should work standalone.
- If you use other UI mods, test for conflicts by enabling this one last.
