📋 About This Mod

Keep the Bounty Hunter honest! This mod records and displays information regarding regular and bounty hunter interactions with champion enemies.1. How much does the Bounty Hunter retinue pay you throughout your run?2. How many champions are

Have you ever wondered if the Bounty Hunter retinue is worth 4,000 crowns to hire? Well, me too! So, I decided to write a mod to record data throughout your run that displays stats based on the two actions that the Bounty Hunter is responsible for:

  • []Crowns earned from killing champions while the Bounty Hunter is hired.

    []Champion spawn chances and rates.

This mod adds 7 lines of data on the Bounty Hunter tooltip when hovering over the Bounty Hunter retinue on the retinue screen.

This mod does not change any vanilla behavior. It only records stats and displays them on a tooltip.

    How to view the stats:

With the Bounty Hunter hired, navigate to the Retinue page (should be the P key by default) and hover your mouse over the Bounty Hunter to view the tooltip.

    What are the stats?

    • []"You have earned X crowns". This number should persist even if you fire and later re-hire the Bounty Hunter.

[]"You have killed X champion(s). This should be self explanatory :)

[]"# possible champions" is the number of enemies spawned by the game that have a greater than 0% chance to become a champion. 3-skull contracts will impact this figure. For example, a Brigand Leader on day 30 would normally have a 0% chance to spawn, but with a 3-skull contract, he now has 4% chance to become a champion.

[]"# spawned with BH" is like it sounds. While you have the Bounty Hunter retinue, how many champions did he help spawn. For example, imagine the game code rolls a "3" to spawn a champion Hedge Knight. Without the Bounty Hunter, the game would Not generate a regular Hedge Knight because there's only a 2% chance a Hedge Knight can spawn. However, the Bounty Hunter adds 3% chance to spawn, so now the game's "3" roll Does create a champion Hedge Knight.

[]"# spawned naturally" is also like it sounds. Any champion spawn roll that falls in the regular chance % will qualify here. I.e., Hedge knight has 2% to spawn. If the game rolls a 1, the Hedge Knight would spawn anyway, without the Bounty Hunter.

[]"Avg champion spawn chance" is a running average recording the chance a champion can spawn. This number represents an average of the "# possible champions" spawn chance rolls. For example, if there is a 2% chance for a Hedge Knight to spawn, a 2 is added to this running average.

    • "Your champion spawn rate" is similar to 6 above, but data is only recorded when a champion does spawn. In the banner image above, the 4 champions recorded a total of 14% to spawn, so that's 3. 5% per champion on average. In this case, one Orc Warlord added 10% to the number.

      A fair warning:

There are a LOT of enemies that spawn in the game behind the scenes that you'll never meet. So just because the game shows 100 champions have spawned does not mean that there are 100 waiting in camps for
