Nothing changes before day 100.

What it does

• []Warbands grow. Capped at 24 in the field, 40 at camps.[/]

  []Low tier troops are replaced by higher tier ones. No more day 400 city watchmen in cloth.[/]

  []Champions become common late, with real names and several unique items each.[/]

  []Armour and helmets climb through better tiers.[/]

  []79 unit types gain perks in a hand written order, and the AI actually uses the active ones.[/]

  []Each faction grows its own way, and not always upward. Goblins get faster but flimsier, orcs get tougher but slower, the undead stop caring about fatigue entirely.[/]

  []Attack, defence, hitpoints, stamina and resolve rise with the calendar.[/]

  []Kill XP rises to 6x, so late fights are still worth winning.[/]

  []Camp and party rewards rise to 20x,  so late camps are still worth clearing.[/]

  []Goblin camps drop a named weapon and orc camps a named armour, from day 200 onward.[/]

  []Late enemies carry faction sidearms: nets, named throwing weapons, berserker mushrooms.[/]

  []The Hexe can no longer charm and hex every single turn.[/]

  Unique items only drop if they survived the fight in good shape. Beat a champion down through his armour and the armour breaks with him. Take his head off cleanly and it is yours.

  Difficulty

  Every difficulty runs on the same calendar. Only the ceiling moves.

  Nimble for southerners, the faction sidearms, and the barbarian throwing kit are Expert only.
