Unholy Smite - Empowering Oathbreakers (And Other Paladin Subclasses)

Channel the darkness within and unleash a new devastating smite!

This mod grants Oathbreaker Paladins the fearsome Unholy Smite ability at level 2 (Or at level 1 for the All Paladins version) (Does not replace Divine Smite). Smite your enemies with Necrotic energy, debilitating them causing them to have a penalty on attack rolls. Unholy Smite is able to be upcasted up to 9th level, increasing damage by 1d6 each level. Currently the damage is identical to Searing Smite but deals Necrotic damage instead and instead of burning the enemy it leaves them Debilitated. If you miss with the spell, it does not spend a spell slot. You also gain Unholy Smite as a Reaction when you are hit or critically hit by a melee attack (Note - the reaction consumes a spell slot). Currently uses in game vfx and sfx, and adds a custom icon for the spell.

• []Deal 1d6 necrotic damage to your target, plus an additional 1d6 for each spell level upcast (up to 9th level).

  []Unholy Smite costs an Action Point to use. On a successful hit, it consumes a spell slot. Missing with the attack does not use a spell slot.

  []Adds a reaction, When hit by a melee attack, you can unleash Unholy Smite against your attacker. Be warned, this consumes a spell slot even if the attack misses.

  []Weaken your foes! Unholy Smite applies the Debilitate effect, reducing the target's attack roll. This debuff scales with the spell slot level used:

  - Levels 1-2: -1d4 attack roll, 1 turn- Levels 3-4: -1d6 attack roll, 2 turns- Levels 5-6: -1d8 attack roll, 3 turns- Levels 7-8: -1d10 attack roll, 4 turns- Level 9: -1d12 attack roll, 5 turns
