Tiefling Tail Tattoos Vol. 1

What started out as an experiment to see if I could figure out how tattoos worked on Tiefling tails, blossomed into a full mod.

I learned from the other amazing members of Baldur's Ink where the tail mesh was located and looking at Cata's Tail Tattoos helped me understand how they worked. Without all these amazing people, I wouldn't have been able to bring you this mod.

While the focus was on making tattoos for Tiefling tails, I couldn't help myself and wound up making matching full body tattoos for each of them.

While for some I used a couple of my pre-existing full body tattoos, for others I made entirely new ones, and apparently when I make full body designs, I have the need to fill up the entire canvas (the henna inspired design took me three days to put together) and there's little nail designs on some of them. It was a lot of fun though and I definitely want to make more of these which is why I've tentatively named this "Volume 1". I may also make matching face tattoos for these if people would be interested in them.

I wanted to give you all as much accessibility as possible so I have made three versions of all 10 designs:

🧁One that has just the tail tattoo

🧁The tail tattoo along with the back tattoo

🧁the full body tattoo with the tail

Along with this there's the usual separated, merged and RT versions.

There are also merged and separated versions for Half-Tiefs. Using them can be a tad confusing so be sure to read the info below.

How these tail tattoos work

This is a set of 10 tattoos with each tattoo taking up 2 tattoo slots. This means that if you are using a tattoo switcher like CCEE, MMM, Rogue Tattoo or Kaz's CC tattoo selector, the full design appears on the first, "odd numbered", tattoo slot and only half the tail design appears on tail and nothing else on the second slot. It'll be pretty obvious which one's which but for example on MMM the full tattoos fall on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 but on Kaz's CC tattoo selector, it'll be on "No tattoo", 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18.
