📋 About This Mod
Prone now breaks concentration on a failed Constitution save* instead of automatically! Paralyzed/Unconscious and statuses related to them no longer cause you to hit automatically, but you automatically crit on successful attack rolls
-
[]A Prone creature's only movement option is to crawl, unless it stands up, and thereby ends the condition.[/]
[]The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls.[/]
[]An attack roll against the creature has advantage if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature. Otherwise, the attack roll has disadvantage.[/]
Notes: Due to weirdness with the engine's distance calculations, all melee attacks receive advantage, and ranged attacks receive advantage within 2. 5m. Also, staying prone and crawling is not enabled. I'm not ready to go down the animation rabbit hole yet.
-
[]A paralyzed creature is incapacitated (it loses concentration and can't take actions or reactions) and can't move or speak.[/]
[]The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity saving throws.[/]
[]Attack rolls against the creature have advantage.[/]
[]Any attack that hits the creature is a critical hit if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature.[/]
Unconscious
-
[]An unconscious creature is incapacitated (it loses concentration and can't take actions or reactions), can't move or speak, and is unaware of its surroundings.[/]
[]The creature drops whatever it is holding and falls prone.[/]
[]The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity saving throws.[/]
[]Attack rolls against the creature have advantage.[/]
[]Any attack that hits the creature is a critical hit if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature.[/]
Notes: The various options for forcing critical hits and preventing them have weird interactions, so, in order to prevent critical hits against paralyzed or unconscious creatures, I added a check for the specific things that are immune to or provide immunity to critical hits (such as the adamantine armors). Because there was nothing easy to check for some of these, a passive has been added to a few characters and objects. Generally, this shouldn't be a problem, but if anyone changes the passives on the adamantine armor pieces, that will cause a conflict. That said, if you have a mod and want to make sure critical immunity applies through these statuses, make sure the passive 'PPUP_CritImmune' ends up on the entity that gets the immunity.
*The DM might also decide that certain environmental phenomena, such as a wave crashing over you while you're on a storm-tossed ship, require you to succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on a spell.
