Oops All Characters with simple NPC enemy spawner

What It Does

This mod lifts the restriction that you can only spawn certain characters on certain levels.  This lets you spawn character on levels they normally won't spawn in.

By itself, this mod won't change anything that the average player would see.  It's intended to be used alongside another mod.  For example, it can be used with Rakor's Disguised Host mod to allow you to transform to any character, anywhere.

That said, I have included a simple NPC/enemy spawner.  It lets you open up a MazzleDoc, which is like an in-game book, from which you can search for characters and spawn them as either neutral or hostile.  You can use this to stage fights, test combat/builds or take photos.  Mazzle_Lib is required for the spawner.

Experimental Update: An experimental version that can spawn copies of native global characters, which includes many bosses and all of the origin characters, has been posted. This will break scripts, so don't use in a save that you're playing for real.

How It Works

This mod add the character that are level-specific to the global characters so that they can be accessed on any level.  There is no code of any kind.  (The mod is mostly override files.)

Note that this mod was originally based on the character list overrides used in the mod Recruit Any NPC.  The modder who made that stopped playing fairly early in the game, so the overrides were based on an old version of bg3 and were out of date and missing many character.  So, a few months ago, I rebuilt the level lists from scratch using the current character lists in bg3.

Caveats/Compatibility

I have no idea.  FWIW, it seems people ran Recruit Any NPC and its successor version in normal runs for quite a while with no reports of game issues, so perhaps there aren't any huge side effects. Maybe it's just increased memory usage.

Character Spawner Usage
