📋 About This Mod
Reduces the huge opportunity cost of forging a weapon instead of armour at the adamantine forge. Consideration was also given to the Knife of the Undermountain King when balancing these items.
Adamantine Longsword
Original: +1, 1d8/1d10 slashing, rare, 250gp.
Modified: +2, 1d8/1d10 slashing + 1d4 force, very rare, 530gp.
Adamantine Scimitar
Original: +1, 1d6 slashing, rare, 190gp.
Modified: +2, 1d6 slashing + 1d4 force, very rare, 480gp.
Adamantine Mace
Original: +1, 1d6 bludgeoning, concussive smash, rare, 190gp.
Modified: +2, 1d8 bludgeoning + 1d4 force, concussive smash + weakening strike + tenacity, very rare, 480gp.
Quantity of Mithral Ore
Four versions of this mod are provided. They change how much mithral ore is available from Grym's corpse, from 0 to 3. This ore is in addition to the 2 that can already be found in the unmodified game.
Items spawn in correctly when testing on patch 7.
If you remove this mod from a save file then you are ok. It will still load, with the unmodified adamantine weapons in your inventory. (I have tested this.)
If you want even more mithral ore then you use JWL Grym's Mithral Hoard. The quantities will stack. (I have tested this.)
Modathon Badges
A compact gameplay tweak for Baldur's Gate 3 that boosts all weapons with +2 enchantment and +1d4 force damage, while changing the mace's base stats to match a flail. With 60 endorsements and 1,313 downloads, it's a niche mod for players seeking straightforward weapon buffs.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective: every weapon gets a flat +2 enchantment and +1d4 force damage, making combat noticeably stronger
- Small mod with a dedicated following (60 endorsements, 1,313 downloads) — it does exactly what it says
- The mace change to flail stats adds a subtle variety for players who want to try something different
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in July 2024 — may not be compatible with the latest game patches or other mods that alter weapon stats
- The mace change is a nerf for some builds, since flails have different properties — check if that fits your playstyle
For Baldur's Gate 3 players who want a straightforward damage boost without overhauling the whole combat system. If you're a min-maxer looking for an edge or just want to feel more powerful, this mod delivers. Skip it if you prefer balanced or lore-friendly weapon stats.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes weapon stats globally, it will affect all weapons in your game — make sure you're okay with that before installing
- If you're using other mods that alter weapon stats, load this one last to ensure its changes take priority
- Test the mod in a new save or after a long rest to see the stat changes reflected on your equipped weapons
