Extend Party Limit (via ScriptExtender)

This isn't really a mod, but a way to increase the party limit (temporary) via ScriptExtender-Console by Norbyte.

(All thanks go to Norbyte, I just collected the information and made an instruction out of it)

The advantage of this method is, that it seems to work without the problem, not to be able to load savegames - at least for my last playtrough with it worked nearly every time (see "known issues").

What you need?

Download and install Norbytes  BG3 Script Extender (with Console)

(it's important to use the version with console!)

How to make it work?

- Launch the game and a console window should show up in the background

- Start a new game (or load a save) and switch to the console window

- Type or copy the following commands into the console (and confirm every line with "ENTER"-Key):

SetMaxPartySizeOverride(x) | (replace the "x" with the number the party size you would - i tested till 12)

Osi. PROC_CheckPartyFull()

- Switch back to the game and invite the new companion(s) to your party

The following steps are optional

- go back to the console and set back the party size to 4 with "SetMaxPartySizeOverride(4)"

(all party members will stay in your party, even if it's bigger than 4)

Why should i reset the limit back to 4 (default)?

It seems that the game checks some variables at the load of a save and some people get a CTD at 60% when they have another party limit. So if you want to be save it's better to set this flag back to default (4).

The set back may be OUTDATED trough a Larian Patch.

Known issues?

• []The Party won't wake up after a rest (Camp sleeping bug)

  Use one of the awake companions and talk to Lae'zel (i really don't know why it works only with her, but it works) or reduce your party size to 4 before resting or just Quicksave and Quickload

  []Underdark Trip to Grymforge

  If you take the boat to the Grimforge a Story Quest is triggered, witch only supports 4 members, the others will get stuck at the pier.You have to reduce your party to 4 Members before taking the boat, you can add other members later, after the event again.

  KryGonyT found a few better solutions for these issues:

• House of Hope

  Not really an issue, but during the "House of Hope"-Quest you get 4 clothings to hide your team - so if you have more than 4 members, your team will be detected
