This mod removes the red trajectory line when moving an NPC by force, giving you full freedom with your knockbacks.

• []Ledges and cliffs: no more being unable to push an enemy off a cliff because you can't find an angle.[/]

  []Chasms: pushing into chasms will now always work, even if they don't land directly inside it. They will fall into it.[/]

  []Solid walls still stop you. No clipping through walls or rocks![/]

  []Awkward ground: landing on a boulder, a crate or something you usually aren't able to walk on will select the nearest sensible spot to end the fall.[/]

  []Functional fall damage.[/]

Applies to NPCs, companions, enemies and items alike.

REQUIREMENTS

• []Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender (Norbyte) - required. The mod is pure Script Extender Lua; without it nothing loads.[/]

  []BG3 Mod Manager - recommended, for installing the pak and exporting the load order.[/]

  []Native Mod Loader (tinybike) - only for the optional RabbetForceMove.dll. Highly recommended: see "Why the native patch?" above.[/]

  INSTALLATION

  ================================================================================

  • []Import the zip with BG3 Mod Manager, or drop RabbetKnockback.pak into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods\ yourself.[/]

    []Enable Rabbet Knockback Fix and export the load order. Its position in the order does not matter.[/]

  Optional file: RabbetForceMove.dll - highly recommended

  • []Install Native Mod Loader.[/]

    []Extract the optional zip into <game>\bin\ so the DLL ends up at <game>\bin\NativeMods\RabbetForceMove.dll.[/]

  To uninstall the patch, delete the DLL. To uninstall the mod, remove the pak; nothing is left behind in your save.

  Why the native patch?

  ================================================================================

  The pak alone already completes every cancelled push, but it does so from script: it notices the engine gave up, then flies the target along its own arc. That works everywhere, and it is the whole mod if you would rather not touch bin.

  The optional RabbetForceMove.dll moves that work into the engine. It patches the game's landing selection in memory at start-up so the engine performs the push itself:

  • []The engine's own movement and animation instead of a scripted flight - this is the "yeeted across the map" look, and it is the reason the file is recommended.[/]

    []Correct arc preview. The trajectory you see before you commit is rebuilt from the real end point, so the arc matches the launch.[/]

  • Without the optional DLL the client may still draw vanilla's cancelled (red, often short) preview arc. HOWEVER, the mod itself will still work perfectly fine.
  Compatibility

  Safe to add or remove mid-playthrough. Server-side, so in multiplayer only the host needs it.
