📋 About This Mod

LootAura is a QoL mod that helps you loot an area without turning looting into a chore.

LootAura

Toggle a fully configurable aura on any character to auto‑loot nearby items/containers/bodies, with in‑world tooltips and highlights so you only open what matters. Stay "hands‑off but in control": pick categories, pick highlight effect, whitelist/blacklist targets, switch between safe and stealing modes, and let the cache-driven pipeline handle performance.

What's new / updated in version 8. 4. 2. 1 !

  • []Multi-target Whitelist/Blacklist spells: tag multiple entities per cast (faster marking runs, less menu re-opening).[/]

[]Highlight Locked Containers (optional): new toggle "Highlight Locked Containers" highlights locked containers regardless of what's inside (even empty), independent of highlight filters.[/]

[]New highlight target options: separate toggles to highlight containers, dead/knocked out NPCs, and loose items on the ground.[/]

[]Expanded problematic items blacklist: added more known-problem items to the default blacklist to prevent accidental pickup.[/]

[]Config-change performance improvements: faster/smoother rescan behavior when changing multiple MCM settings at a time.[/]

[]Quest item warning: added an in-menu warning that enabling "Loot quest items" can cause savegame issues.[/]

[]New loot/highlight category: added "CommonGear (grey equipable items)" for both looting and highlighting.[/]

    Main features

    • []Two aura modes

      []Normal Aura: auto-loots non-stealing targets in range.[/]

[]Steal Aura: ignores ownership; loots everything in range (still respects your category filters).[/]

    [/]

    []In‑world tooltips + visual highlights

    • []Floating HUD info for nearby items/containers/bodies (see empty/non-empty/value at a glance).[/]

[]Configurable highlight effect picker (default: Owlbear Egg). Pick from: Adamantine Golem Taunt, Arcane Lock, Blur, Charged Lighting Blast, Faerie Fire, Fly, Gnoll Brewing Rage, Gortane, Leadership aura, Long Jump, Longstrider, Mask of Servitude, Moonbeam Aura, Reduce, Owlbear Egg.[/]

[]Choose what gets highlighted: containers, dead/knocked out NPCs, and loose items.[/]

[]Highlight Locked Containers (optional): highlights locked containers regardless of contents (even empty), independent of highlight filters.[/]

    [/]

    []Fully configurable (MCM)

    • []Aura radius slider (default 15m).[/]

[]Entity looting configuration: choose what type of entities to loot: containers/chests and NPCs (dead or knocked/out).[/]

      []Per-category loot toggles and per-category highlight toggles.[/]

[]Loot locked containers opt-in (respects lock state; doesn't unlock, just loots if allowed).[/]

[]LootAura Bag routing + weightless "Bag of Holding" mode toggle.[/]

[]Optional LootAura Bag sorting for Alchemy Ingredients or Camp Supplies when moving loot out of the bag.[/]

[]Warning: enabling "Loot quest items" can cause issues with the savegame.[/]

[]Live MCM updates (3s debounce) with improved performance when configs are changed.[/]

    [/]

    []Whitelist / Blacklist

    • []Tag items/containers/bodies to always loot or never loot via spells.[/]

[]Whitelist/Blacklist spells are now multi-target (tag more than 1 entity per cast).[/]

[]Expanded blacklist includes more problematic items to avoid known issues.[/]

    [/]

    []LootAura Bag

    • []By default, all loot looted by the aura gets routed to this bag to keep loot tidy; optional weightless "Bag of Holding" mode.[/]

    [/]

    []Performance-first:

    • []Cache-driven architecture so it can keep up in loot-dense areas without constantly re-checking the same entities every tick.[/]

[]Event queuing to avoid startup issues.[/]

    [/]

    []Multiplayer-friendly

    • []Server-side/status-based sync; recommended "Host only" option in MCM for MP sessions.[/]

    [/]

There are some situations in which the aura will turn off and then reactivate itself, the scenarios are:

    • []Entering combat

[]If the aura owner has Normal or Steal active, the aura is suspended for the duration of combat.[/]

[]The mod remembers which aura you had on (Normal vs Steal) and marks it to be restored after combat.[/]

[]When combat ends, the previously active aura is applied again on the next tick (so combat state is fully cleared first).[/]

    [/]

    []Entering camp

    []If the a
