Description

Spiritbinder is a custom Charisma-based full caster class built around the bond between the caster and their elemental companion, Azurita.

Rather than relying solely on direct spell damage, Spiritbinders manipulate the battlefield through elemental afflictions, progressive status effects, terrain manipulation, control, and elemental combinations.

Spiritbinder and Azurita are designed to fight together. The caster shapes the battlefield, weakens enemies and empowers her summons, while Azurita stands at the center of combat as a resilient elemental guardian capable of spreading afflictions and controlling enemy movement.

Neither represents the complete class alone.

The bond is the class.

One spirit. Two halves of the same force.

Azurita is not a temporary disposable summon. She is the Spiritbinder's permanent signature companion and the second half of the class's combat system.

Called from the deep stone, Azurita is a powerful earth elemental whose body is formed from granite and elemental crystals. She grows alongside the Spiritbinder, gaining new abilities, defenses and offensive options as the class progresses.

Azurita primarily serves as a tank, controller and affliction enabler.

Her attacks can spread Elemental Affliction, allowing the Spiritbinder to exploit weakened enemies, while her defensive abilities let her draw attention away from more vulnerable party members.

Azurita can only be summoned once per Short Rest, making protecting her an important part of the Spiritbinder's gameplay.

Her combat follows a simple philosophy:

Actions = Offense

Bonus Actions = Utility, defense and mobility

As she becomes stronger, Azurita also gains access to Extra Attack, allowing her individual attacks to be combined in the same turn.

Azurita evolves alongside you, becoming stronger and gaining new abilities and passive traits as you level up (lvl 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12)

Spiritbinder is intended for players who enjoy:

Summoner gameplay without making the summon disposable.

Battlefield control and terrain manipulation.

Debuffs and damage-over-time effects.

Status combinations and setup/payoff mechanics.

Managing a unique class resource.

Planning several turns ahead.

Coordinating two characters as a single combat unit.

If you are looking for a caster whose solution to every encounter is simply casting the highest-damage spell available, Spiritbinder probably isn't that class.

Welcome to the bond.

This mod supports progression up to level 20, though the class was designed specifically with level 12 in mind.

It is not a burst-damage class; instead, it focuses on controlling the battlefield and your opponents, growing stronger as the fight progresses.

Your power increases the more you understand the class's elemental interactions and how it synergizes with the game's base items.

Installation instructions

Install it:

Manually download the .rar file and extract the contents.

Drop Spiritbinder.pak into:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods

Then enable it in your mod manager.
