Description

Within the weave of magic lies The Song — a melodic force few can hear. Most who hear it compose it into magic; the Songblade instead pours it through a single finesse blade, striking with a precision no ordinary fighter can match. Dexterity guides the edge; Charisma carries the Song. A rhapsody of symmetry in motion and deadly intent.

Installation instructions

INSTALL (BG3 Mod Manager)

1. Open BG3 Mod Manager.

2. Drag Songblade.pak (or this whole .zip) into the right-hand pane,

OR use File > Import Mod and select the .pak / .zip.

3. Drag "Songblade" from the Inactive column to the Active column.

4. Click Save Load Order to File, then Export Load Order to Game.

5. Launch the game.

1. Copy Songblade.pak into:

Windows: %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods

macOS:  ~/Documents/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/Mods

2. Enable the mod via your mod manager's load order / modsettings.lsx.

Main features

Level 3 — Choose the Songblade

• Songblade Fighting Style — While wielding a single Finesse weapon with your off-hand empty, add your Charisma Modifier to your Attack Rolls and Damage Rolls.

• Enter the Song — As a Bonus Action, take up the Song: your maneuvers become available and you gain a bonus to Attack Rolls, Damage, and Armour Class. Each maneuver you use renews it, so it lasts as long as you keep fighting.

• Resonant Strike — A ringing, disorienting blow. Deal extra damage and leave the target Reeling, penalising its next Attack Roll.

• Song Step — Strike and slip away. Deal extra damage and Disengage, so moving won't provoke Opportunity Attacks.

• Sound Defense — A guarded strike. Deal extra damage and raise your Armour Class until your next turn.

• Resonant Sweep — Sweep your blade in a wide arc, striking every enemy around you with a full weapon attack plus extra damage. Once per turn.

• Sound Reflect — When an enemy misses you with a melee attack, retaliate with a strike.

• Song Sense — Add your Charisma Modifier to your Initiative, and you can no longer be Surprised.

• Virtuosity — You have mastered the Song. While it flows, its bonus is doubled: a +2 bonus to Attack Rolls, Damage, and Armour Class.

The Song is your subclass resource — the number of times you can Enter the Song. You gain 3 uses at level 3, 4 at level 7, and 5 at level 10, all regained on a Long Rest. Your maneuvers sharpen as you grow, their bonus damage rising from a d8 to a d10 at level 10.
