What this mod does

Have you ever had a serious, life-changing discussion with your romantic interest at camp, only to hear a scratchy, scribbly noise and realize that your resident bard has been chronicling every pet name and sweet little nothing that slips from your lover's lips?

You turn around - and there it is: the quill that kills the mood.

While we can easily confiscate Lae'zel’s greatsword to end her midnight grinding sessions (or simply install koboldJuno's gift-to-the-world mod "A Grinding Halt"), it is not possible to pry the offending quill from our continuously-scribbling guest's hands. Would that we could convince him to read a book instead of pen another one...

But fear not - "Silent Quill Scribbles" is here! While Volo won't cease chronicling your love life, he'll do so in blissful silence from now on.

Installation instructions

• []Download the .zip file.[/]

  []Drag & drop the .zip directly into BG3 Mod Manager. It will appear in the override section.[/]

  []Allow it in your load order.[/]

  []Save and export your load order.[/]

  []Launch the game.[/]

  []Save Volo and enjoy his inaudible scribbles.[/]

Technical Notes

• []Mid-Playthrough Safe: Completely safe to install or uninstall at any point.[/]

• []Uninstallation: Delete  the .pak from your load order or delete it directly from your mods folder. Otherwise it will persist even if not in your load order (typical override).[/]

• []Conflicts: Will conflict with any mod that edits Public\Shared\Content\Assets\Characters\Humans\_Male_Body\_merged.lsf[/]

• []Appearance Mods: This should NOT conflict with appearance-altering mods. This file only modifies the audio asset attached to the specific animation.[/]

• []Global Effect: If any other male human NPC in the game uses this exact same quill-scribbling animation loop, they too will do so in blissful silence.[/]
