Nail Your Boots - No More Slipping on Ice and Grease

Tired of seeing your good friends fall flat on their bottoms at every 👏 given 👏 opportunity? Think they could learn a thing or two from the people of Rivellon? Well, you're in luck! Thanks to Cranley Huwbert's efforts, we now possess the ancient recipe for ✨using nails✨! Spread the word to your ice-kissers so they can finally make themselves useful in combat.

Nails are one-time use, you can use them on anyone with un-nailed boots equipped.

The boots will then recieve a permanent status 'Solid Grip', the wearer should also recieve a passive of the same name.

This mod requires Compatibility Framework to work as intended. Without it, characters who haven't had nails used on them won't benefit from wearing naily boots (the passive won't show up). If you're not planning to hand down shoes to other party members, you can use my mod without Compatibility Framework, I guess.

There are 3 versions of this mod. Install only one version.

- Less Nails: Here the nails are actually rare, there are 6 piles in total (2 in Act I, 1 in Act II and 3 in Act III).

- More Nails: The nails are plenty (whopping 28 in total), gotta be enough to cover your needs.

- Tutorial Chest version adds a single infinite use copy of nails to the Cartilaginous Chest on the Nautiloid (you can access it through Tutorial Chest Summoning or any similar mod). After using these, a spell is added to your panel and you have 200 turns to nail up everyone around. There's also a spell to end Cobbler Mode early and remove both spells from your hotbar. This version doesn't add any other nails to the world.

It should be safe to switch between the versions.

Let me know if you're coming across more nails than expected. They are not for sale and should not appear as random loot.

The .pak file goes to your Mods folder, then you move the mod to active in BG3MM. It should come before (above) Compatibility Framework in the load order.
