Minthara Auto-Knockout

Please note: there will be spoilers throughout.

Minthara can be knocked out in Act 1 in a more organic way.

In the vanilla game, Minthara can only be recruited by either raiding the grove or knocking her out non-lethally. This mod provides options to knock her out in a way that makes more narrative sense.

There are two different options to choose from.

1. Illithid Persuasion KO

• []There will be a new dialogue option that allows you to use Illithid Persuasion to knock Minthara out.[/]

  []You will need to initiate the raid on the grove and use this dialogue option to double-cross Minthara.[/]

  []Features a new condition: Synaptic Dominance.[/]

  []Suitable for players that don't always recruit Minthara, and would still like the option to kill her in Act 1.[/]

  2. Full Auto-KO

  • []Minthara will always be knocked out instead of killed.[/]

    []Set and forget. This can be done in the Shattered Sanctum or when defending the grove from the goblin attack.[/]

    []Features a new condition: Favoured of the Absolute.[/]

    []Minthara will no longer ask you why you chose to spare her.[/]

    []Suitable for players who either always recruit Minthara or prefer to decide her fate at Moonrise Towers.[/]

    • []Both versions ensure that Minthra will end up at Moonrise Towers, and you can decide her fate there.[/]

      []Both versions ensure that you don't accidentality kill Minthara. [/]

      []You can still raid the grove in both versions.[/]

      

      I don't think there is a perfect solution to this problem, which is why there are two separate versions here. I may add more versions in the future. Feel free to suggest any ideas you have. Hopefully both versions feel much less metagamey than switching to non-lethal attacks.

      

      1. Illithid Persuasion KO

      This can only done during the raid on the grove. You will need to initiate the raid, with the intention to betray Minthara.

      There will be a Illithid Persuasion dialogue option that allows you to compel Minthara to fall unconscious.

      Minthara will then gain the condition Synaptic Dominance.

      Once Minthara's turn in combat starts, she will fall unconscious and the Synaptic Dominance condition will update to show the below.

      She will also now be protected from all damage, so you don't accidentality kill her with a stray fireball.

      Minthara will now have the condition Favoured of the Absolute.
