📋 About This Mod
Progress
Progress
The release version is 1. 0, and covers the Character Creation (including Character Design, Appearance and Guardian Design sections), Level-Up, Respec, Magic Mirror, and Hireling Design UIs.
Additional Features
HybridUI also provides a few additional benefits in each of the covered screens:
-
[]Specially-named Cantrip/Spell Selectors now actually have their name in the tab bar
[
]Passive and Equipment Selectors that have unique names will now display their name in the tab bar[]Equipment Lists are now scrollable
[]The scrollbar in Spell selectors and the Spellbook is now visible
- The Description box is decoupled from the selection interfaces, ensuring no strange gaps appear in the UI
In Hireling Recruitment, you may now change the Class/Subclass, Spell, Passive, & Equipment selectors, as well as things like deities, spell prep, and skills.
In Respec, you may now respec Racial selectors in addition to the usual options
Compatibility
It has been tested alongside a significant amount of Race, Subclass, Spell, Deity, and Background mods to ensure it should work well even on the most heavily-modded of games.
This mod is compatible with the BetterUI series of mods, as well as any mods affecting the Keyboard & Mouse UI (for example, KaiLimeUI).
Regarding ImprovedUI, you should load this mod after ImprovedUI. If you are using the Controller UI exclusively, you shouldn't need Improved UI loaded, as Hybrid UI's adjustments completely override ImpUI's, and both mods provide similar functionality.
Leave a bug report or drop a comment if you run into any issues!Known Issues
HybridUI enhances the controller interface by integrating keyboard and mouse UI elements, reducing carousel navigation, and improving usability for players with many modded races, classes, and spells. It's a quality-of-life mod for controller users seeking a more efficient UI.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Popular with over 104k downloads, so it's clearly hitting the mark for controller players
- Directly tackles the pain of scrolling through tons of modded content with carousels
- Actively maintained (updated October 2025), so it's likely compatible with current game versions
⚠️ Cons
- Only 142 endorsements compared to downloads—maybe not everyone's cup of tea, or they just didn't bother endorsing
- If you're a keyboard and mouse purist, this mod isn't for you—it's specifically for controller UI
For controller players who are tired of scrolling through endless carousels, especially if you've got a bunch of modded races, classes, and spells. If you're a keyboard and mouse user, skip it—this is purely a controller UI overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a UI mod, make sure to place it in your mod load order after any other UI mods to avoid conflicts.
- If you're using a mod manager, enable it and test in-game to see the new layout before adding other UI tweaks.
- Check the mod page for any optional patches or compatibility notes, even if not listed here.
