📋 About This Mod
What is this mod?
Like the title says, a mod that adds a playable Fairy race - with appropriate wings!
Note that due to rig/animation limitations, they're a little bit experimental. See Bugs/Issues section for more details.
This gif is kind of outdated due to custom animations but I really can't be bothered to recreate it.
Racial Traits
(Somewhat in accordance with the MoTM sourcebook)
Fairy Magic
Gain (a slightly homebrewed version of) Druidcraft as a cantrip, Faerie Fire at level 3 and Enlarge/Reduce at level 5. The latter two can be cast once per Long Rest.
Flutter
Racial passive - turns into once per Short Rest at level 3, and becomes unlimited at level 7.Tinify
A cute little homebrew spell - has some visual glitching, see Bugs/Issues section below.Hide Wings
A toggle that lets you hide/unhide wings whenever, aiming to help avoid your view getting blocked during cutscenes.

✅ Pros
- Huge download count (816k) shows it's a go-to race mod.
- Wings are fully colorable, so you can match your character's vibe.
- Sourcebook-based design means it fits D&D lore purists.
⚠️ Cons
- Only one race added—if you want more variety, you'll need other mods.
- Wings are cosmetic only; no flight mechanics mentioned.
- Last updated in April 2025—check for patch compatibility if you're on a newer game version.
For Baldur's Gate 3 players who want to play a fairy with customizable wings and a D&D-accurate race. Great for roleplayers and those who love whimsical aesthetics. Skip if you're looking for mechanical depth or multiple new races.
💡 Beginner Tips
- When customizing your fairy, play with the wing color sliders to get the exact sparkle you want.
- If you're using other race mods, load order might matter—place this one after to avoid conflicts.
- Pair with a transmog mod if you want your fairy to look the part from level 1.
