While this functions as an entirely new race it is a dragonborn subrace for the purposes of being able to utilize dragonborn cosmetics.
Features of the race:
Spell Conversion: you can convert your spell damage types to match your draconic ancestory.
Unarmored Defense: you start with an AC of 13 that scales based off you charisma modifier.
Darkvision: Pretty self explanatory, it's name is the effect.
