Spelljammer Astral Elves

Long ago, groups of elves ventured from the Feywild to the Astral Plane to be closer to their gods. Life in the Silver Void has imbued their souls with a spark of divine light. That light manifests as a starry gleam in an astral elf's eyes.

Because nothing ages on the Astral Plane, astral  elves who inhabit that plane can be very old, and  their longevity gives them an unusual perspective on the passage of time. Some are prone to melancholy, while others might display an absence of  feeling. Many look for creative ways to occupy themselves. Whether they choose to live in quiet contemplation or strike out to explore the reaches of the  multiverse, astral elves tend to see things through  the lens of time as having little or no meaning to them.

This mod adds astral elves from Spelljammer: Adventures in Space to the game as an elven subrace.

Along with the inherited general elf traits, astral elves have the following:

• []Astral Fire. You know one of the following cantrips: dancing lights, light, or sacred flame.[/]

  []Keen Senses. You have Proficiency in the Perception skill.[/]

  []Starlight Step. Magically teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within range, using charges that increase with your level. You gain more charges at levels 4, 8, and 12.[/]

  []Astral Knowledge. You gain temporary Proficiency in an Ability Score's skills of your choice.[/]

Yes! And I would like to give an extra special thanks to MaxStrengthWizard for helping me set up the ability resource icons for Starlight Step properly.

"What cosmetic mods work with this race?"

Because it is a subrace mod and not a new race entirely, it should be inherently compatible with cosmetic mods that add new heads, hair, etc. to elves without issue.

"Are dream guardians included?"

Yes, you can make an astral elf dream guardian.

"What is the difference between this version and the one you uploaded to mod.io forever and a day ago?"

This one has improved functioning of Starlight Step, with icons set up the right way. It will also be maintained on here, where the old mod.io version has been abandoned. (I don't even have access to the old toolkit files anymore, sorry.) If you were using the version from mod.io, get rid of it before using this one.
