Crooked Dice

Let's be honest, there's rolls you are just going to make, either honestly or via save-scumming. Sure, reloading is an appropriate punishment but who cares, it's a single player game and you getting to decide how your story turns out now and then hurts no one. So make it a little less tedious when those times do come along by deploying a crooked dice. This item, when kept in your inventory, allows you to select it as a +20 bonus as needed on skill rolls. You can still play straight most of the time, but when you absolutely, positively have to convince Yurgir to off his minions, whip out this little sucker and let honeyed words rain down.

Available from the tutorial chest. Configured as a story item so you can't accidentally sell it.

Now with the Cursed dice, for rolls you are determined to fail. This item subtracts 20 from your rolls. (The implementation is a little weird due to limitations with boost items - the game won't show you an item that reduces your chances. The cursed dice will be listed as a +1 to your roll and the total bonus will state as such, but when the die is rolled, it will properly subtract 20 rather than add 1 on the result.)
