Choose Again - Change abilities and skills

Description

Every time you want to change your abilities and/or skill proficiencies and expertises, you have to go to Wither, return to level 1 and then level all the way to your current level. Everything is reset and you have to make all your choices one by one all over again, even when you want to just change your abilities or skills to optimize your character.

This mod lets you change your previous ability and skill choices without having to respec and level up at all. All of this entirely though MCM's graphic interface and backend changes to your character's existing levelup data. This means you can only change what you have already chosen once. You cant increase the total number of abilities, skill proficiencies and expertises. All restrictions on what can be chosen also apply. For example you cannot increase your ability over 20 or take expertise in a skill you are not proficient at.

Choose your Abilities:

• []Redistribute your starting 27 ability points

  []Change your chosen major (+2) and minor (+1) starting ability bonuses

  []Choose abilities to increase if you have taken one or multiple of following feats: Athlete, Lightly Armored, Moderately Armored, Tavern Brawler, Weapon Master

  Choose your Skills:

  • []Change your background

    []Change all of your chosen skill proficiencies

    []Change all of your chosen skill expertise

    To apply the newly changed character data, you need to either save your game and load the newly created save file or use the mirror and press "Confirm". This forces the game to recalculate your current abilities and skills based on the character creation and level up data. Before you do that, you will only see your changes in the MCM GUI. For some reason the expertise icons (just icons, not values) will update only after loading a save file.

    Note: This mod modifies your character data. While I have fully tested it on my personal Act III Honour mode run, I recommend you create a new save file (or backup your honour mode save file) before applying changes with this mod. One can never be too careful.

    That said, if anything does go wrong, then respecing your character with Withers will fix it.
