Better Necklace of Elemental Augmentation

The Fix:

The necklace's effect currently checks to see if the cantrip is flagged as an elemental type (e.g., Fire Bolt). This mod changes the logic to: "Did the cantrip deal Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage?"

What this means:

• []100% Tooltip Accuracy: The Necklace will now correctly apply your Spellcasting Modifier bonus (minimum damage bonus is 1) whenever your cantrip deals the listed damage types, matching the item's tooltip: "When one of your cantrips deals damage, add your Spellcasting Modifier to the damage dealt."

  []This should specifically address the issue where Booming Blade failed to receive the bonus.

  • Note that in any difficulty lower than Honor Mode, the damage bonus will be applied twice onto one Booming Blade attack, because the game treats Booming Blade as two damage instances (base slashing and 1d8 thunder). In HM, however, the damage bonus will be applied only once, because the 1d8 Thunder damage instance from Booming Blade isn't allowed to trigger any damage rider in HM.
