No biggy. Some subtle touches, color edits to eyes, hair, skin and outfit tweaks for Astarion.
No new game required.
Files required for the exact same look:
Alluring Astarion (first main file - not 'older' or 'original' version) by surodmg (required for the head model and younger face texture)
Astarion's Ponytail (replacer version) by preciouslittlebhaalbabee (required for the ponytail)
Why the mod?
There are many cool Astarion mods out there, but I wanted a very specific look. In vanilla, he looked too old to me, for being an elf that got turned into a vampire spawn at age 39. The fine mod Alluring Astarion solved this for me. Then I found Astarion's Ponytail. It makes his hair just a tiny bit longer, mininally more messy and adds a short ponytail. I found those two mods a great combination already. But I also wanted to change his eye color from red to more of a purple with just a slight bit of red. Something that might be considered a bit more elven that vampiric. I mean - when meeting Astarion for the first time, everything screams vampire at first glance. Red eyes, pale skin, fangs, bitemarks... Hard to believe that he didn't get a wooden stake through his heart sometime during the last 200 years. I feel the eye color change alone tones it down at least a tiny bit already and might make it easier to blend in a bit better. He still looks like a vampire at first glance, but I think at least that one little detail isn't 'in your face' so much anymore.
I also edited his hair color. Made it a bit more black/white instead of plain white-ish. Also changed his skin color, mainly by tweaking melatonin and hemoglobin values. And gave his outfit a different style. I know he is supposed to move in upper-class circles. But I wanted him to wear something a bit more practical and less colorful, while still having a nice color contrast against his skin and hair. Also thought about removing his bitemarks, since those should normally have healed after becoming a vampire. But as I understand, those marks staying visible is a direct result of the specific way he got turned into a vampire.
