Na'vi Apex Hunter (Enhanced Combat and Movement)

Welcome to my combat and movement mod!

While there have been several updates and additional features added since its initial release, the goal of this mod remains the same: to provide additional gameplay and customization options that address what I felt were some of the limitations of the base game’s character movement and weapon handling. By doing so, my aim was to create a more dynamic and engaging combat and gameplay experience, while also serving as a better representation of the capabilities of a 10-foot-tall-crazy-strong-blue-cat-like-alien-thing.

For example, while the speed at which your character moves in the base game is certainly fine for a casual Sunday jog through the forest, to me it always felt a bit inadequate when dealing with the faster paced life or death scenarios of the games combat encounters. On top of that, since the game also applies an additional movement penalty whenever you’re holding a weapon, it just made everything feel a little more sluggish than I felt it needed to be, particularly when trying to get out of the line of fire or maneuver around enemies to flank them.

Some weapons I felt also needed a little more attention and polish. I mean given that you're 4-5 times stronger then the average person and carrying around a longbow that's probably larger then a full grown human, the distance at which you can fire the thing seems a little underwhelming to say the least.

Anyways, these are just a few examples of the changes I was looking to make in order to smooth out the overall combat and movement experience from the base game. So, whether you’re looking to move around the battlefield like a true Apex Hunter or simply looking to deal out a little more damage to balance out your NG+ run, hopefully you’ll be able to find a combination of mod options that works best for you and your playthrough.

Added with update 4. 2:

- Added 'From the Ashes' compatibility patch to all versions, as previously only certain parts of the mod were working correctly in that DLC.

Added with update 4. 0:

- Adjustments made to 'Na'vi Apex Hunter' file. Reduced some of the various speed modifiers while aiming and firing weapons to allow for easier engagement and a more natural flow between various combat speed transitions.

- Adjustments made to 'Na'vi Apex Hunter Lite v2' file. Changed combat speed parameters in order to create a greater distinction from other versions offered by the mod.
