Backpack 16

Description

Backpack 16 expands Astroneer’s standard 8-slot backpack to 16 regular storage slots.

The extra capacity applies to both the live player backpack and the backpack left behind after death. The two auxiliary slots, terrain-tool augment slots, reserve slot, and attached equipment groups remain available.

Verified with Astroneer 1. 42. 3. 0 and AstroModLoader 0. 1. 15. Other game versions are untested and may require a compatible update.

Installation instructions

1. Back up your Astroneer save before installing.

2. Install AstroModLoader.

3. Import 000-Backpack16-0. 1. 4_P.pak through AstroModLoader.

4. Enable Backpack 16, then launch Astroneer through AstroModLoader.

5. For multiplayer, every participant must install and enable the same Backpack 16 version.

Compatibility and removal

This mod replaces the BackpackRail and AstroCorpse game assets.

Do not use it with BackpackPlus or another mod that replaces BackpackRail.

Before disabling or removing Backpack 16, empty the additional player slots and retrieve and empty all corpse backpacks. Items left in added slots may become inaccessible or be lost after removal.
