Description

AstralCompass is a lightweight navigation HUD mod for Astroneer that adds a functional compass overlay to your screen, helping you explore any planet with confidence.

HOW IT WORKS

Once in-game, AstralCompass automatically displays a small HUD at the top of your screen showing your current planet, your exact position in the world, and the direction you are facing. Whether you are exploring caves, building a base, or navigating back to your shelter, the compass always keeps you oriented. Press Z at any time to show or hide the overlay without interrupting gameplay.

INSTALLATION

1. Install Astro Modloader

2. Download and unzip the AstralCompss.zip file

3. Drag AstralCompass.pak into the Modloader

4. Press Play and enjoy

NOTES

This mod is built with Unreal Engine 4. 27, equires Astroneer version 1. 29 or later. The GlitchWalkers and

Megatech DLCs are not required, but the game must be updated to

at least the version released alongside them — may not function correctly on older builds. It is my first mod for Astroneer and was made with the goal of filling a small but practical gap in the vanilla experience — knowing where you are and where you are going.
