Dust removal

Description

I made this mod mainly to show that editing textures with Forger is possible and in hope that other authors will create or convert their own content. I even wrote some kind of guide to explain what I did, it's in the DustRemoval folder inside the modder's pack.

The only difference between the user version and the modder's pack is that the later comes with three .dds files instead of one, in order to make things easier to understand. So, if you have no interest in modding, please download the user version.

Also, bear in mind that the texture I edited is shared so dirt will be removed from everyone, not just from the main character.

This mod requires Forger patch manager version 2. 6 or above to work.

Installation

User version:

Unzip then drop the file "DustRemoval.forger2" and the folder "Shared_textures" into your "ForgerPatches" directory.

Launch Forger, check the box "No skin dirt (shared)" then launch your game.

Modder's pack:

Unzip then drop the file "DustRemoval_ForModders.forger2" and the folder "DustRemoval" into your "ForgerPatches" directory.

Launch Forger, check the box "No skin dirt (shared texture) - modder's version" then launch your game.

To deactivate the mod (both versions)

Just launch Forger and untick the corresponding box.

Un-installation

User version:

1. deactivate the mod to revert to an unedited version of the forge file.

2. delete the file "DustRemoval.forger2" and the folder "Shared_textures" from your "ForgerPatches" directory.

Modder's pack:

1. deactivate the mod to revert to an unedited version of the forge file.

2. delete the file "DustRemoval_ForModders.forger2" and the folder "DustRemoval" from your "ForgerPatches" directory.

Troubleshooting

If you have trouble running your game:

1. Launch Forger, deactivate then delete my mod from your "ForgerPatches" directory.

2. If this doesn't help, launch Forger again and hit the "Reset all Forges" button. Launch the game and, if it's running fine, reactivate your mods.

3. If it still doesn't work, try verifying and repairing your game with Steam or Uplay.

4. If everything above fails, I'm afraid you'll have to reinstall your game.

Incompatibility

This mod is not compatible with the base textures from Nude Greece. Hypermorphic has removed the dirt in the textures from "Nude Skins for 2. 6", so you don't need my mod if you're already using his.
