📋 About This Mod

Never worry about hunger, thirst, or cold again — for you AND your villagers. Pin every survival need at max, or set your own drain and refill speeds per need: half-speed hunger, double-value meals, whatever you want. Player and villager

Description

Takes survival-need management off your hands for you and your entire settlement. Every few seconds the mod tops every need back up to full, so hunger, thirst, and cold never become a problem — for the player or the villagers. Villagers also stay fully rested and as happy as their housing allows, so they spend their days working instead of trekking to the food store or the campfire.

You can also keep needs in play and just change their pace. Every need has its own drain rate and gain rate, so hunger can fall at half speed while meals restore double, or warmth can drain twice as fast if you want the cold to matter more. Anything from a full god mode to a light difficulty tweak is a config edit.

Each need is toggled individually, so you can use only the parts you want (for example: only villager needs, or only player warmth).

Installation instructions

1. Install BepInEx 6 (IL2CPP build).

2. Place the NoNeedsMod.dll into your ASKA/BepInEx/plugins/ folder.

Main features

- Player: food, water, and warmth held at max — never eat, drink, or warm up again

- Optional: hold the player's stamina too, for full god-mode sprinting and fighting (off by default)

- Villagers: food, water, warmth, rest, and happiness held at max for the whole settlement

- Villagers never get hungry, thirsty, cold, or tired — no more work interrupted by need trips

- Or set a drain rate per need instead: half speed, vanilla speed, double speed, up to 10x

- Set a gain rate per need too, controlling how much eating, drinking, a fire, or sleeping restores

- Every need is individually toggleable, and configurable update interval (default: every 2 seconds)

Configuration

The config file is created at BepInEx/config/com.askamods.noneeds.cfg after the first launch.

— Enabled, Food, Water, Warmth (all on), Energy/stamina (off by default)

— Enabled, Food, Water, Warmth, Rest, Happiness (all on)

— TickSeconds (how often needs are topped up)

Each need also has a pair of rate settings, both ranging from 0 to 10:

<Need>DrainRate (default 0) — how fast the need falls, as a multiple of the game's own speed. 0 holds it at maximum, 1 is vanilla, 0. 5 is half speed, 2 is twice as fast.

<Need>GainRate (default 1) — how much the game's own sources restore, as a multiple of the normal amount. 1 is vanilla, 2 is double, 0 means nothing restores it. This has no effect while the matching drain rate is 0, since the need is already full.

The 0 default means an existing config keeps holding everything at max, exactly as before, with no edits needed.

Note: villager happiness is capped by their housing quality — the mod keeps them at that cap, which is the game's own limit, so happiness rates only have room to act below it. Villagers will still sleep at night (if scheduled); they just never get exhausted during the day.

Co-op: install on the host to cover all villagers. Each player who wants their own needs managed should also install it locally.

Compatibility

⚠️ Dynamic Villager Needs: don't let both mods manage villagers at the same time — this is untested and will probably behave badly. Dynamic Villager Needs schedules villagers around their hunger, thirst, rest, and happiness; with this mod holding those needs at max, its needs-based decisions have nothing to react to and its sleep timing runs off rest values that are always full. Using drain rates above 0 instead of holding needs at max does not make them safe together either — both mods would then be writing the same values, which is equally untested. If you want to combine them, set Enabled = false under in this mod's config and let Dynamic Villager Needs handle villagers (player-side pinning is unaffected) — or use this mod for villagers and remove Dynamic Villager Needs.

Requirements

- BepInEx 6 (IL2CPP)
