Operation: Bridge2Far 1. Situation: * Late 1991. The Soviet Union is fracturing, and Moscow orders a sharp “show of force” along the Finnish border to deter any talk of breaking away from Soviet influence. * You are the forward Soviet HQ at a border base, tasked with a rapid incursion to secure key terrain before Finland can mobilize and international attention can coalesce. * The decisive terrain is a road bridge just inside Finland that controls the only heavy-vehicle crossing in the sector, plus a small Finnish military outpost north of the bridge that can direct fires and call reinforcements if left intact. * CAREFUL!
