In Plain Sight 4

April 1985 East of Schneveringen, FRG After a succesfull action by the armoured battalion the Soviet 2nd Guards Tank Army responded suddenly by dashing from the rear East-German lines, this with the intent to stay in control of the offensive movement to keep initiative. Fearing failure on the East-German part, the soviets launched a full-on assault on the well-prepared lines around Schneverdingen. Being overwhelmed by the shear weight of soviet forces the west-german forcoes preceded to conduct a fighting retreat to give the 3rd Panzergrenadier Bde the chance to dig in and prepare defensive works. The current composistion of soviet forces is unknown at this time due to the loss communications with the reconnaissance company. Use the terrain and your limited forces wisely to conduct a fighting delay to attrit soviet forces to a combat-ineffective state.
