Tactics Challenge 4- Inferno Corner

This challenge was tricky to get right. By 1987 the GDR lags greatly behind the US in many of the areas that are featured in this scenario, most notably Night Vision. I am still trying to get started with scripting some events in to help the AI. Tactical Challenge 4 - Inferno Corner. GDR - Not playable. The GDR brings two large formations bear against the American. My focus was on scripting their movements to provide a challenge to the player. This force will grow in numbers and shift their focus of attack as the battle progresses. US - This scenario will play in two distinct halves for the US. First, command a reinforced airborne company to create blocking positions around an L shaped area called "the corner." GDR will attack quickly and in force with multiple mechanized and infantry formations, supported by off map artillery and mortars. Tactical focus is on utlizing airborne insertion to very quickly beat the enemy to key locations. As the fighting lulls at the corner the main GDR armored and mechanized battalions will begin their push to seize Hunfeld Outskirts. Reinforcements which have been trickling in will now face a powerful armored force that will often not be spotted until it is at point blank range.
