QFA-308 Volkihar - A Nosferatu Family Aircraft Addon -

I started making this mod probably a year ago and it has undergone several changes as the concept mutated and evolved through time. For its final iteration, the model has been kitbashed completely from scratch and the template has been custom-made to achieve a unique look that reminds of high-quality die-cast models, with strongly accentuated lines and a high-quality, candy-like paint finish, made possible through the use of a new MREC texture map. A lot of thought has gone into this mod to make it satisfying to use and effective within the game's level design. Lanzerince helped me a lot as the co-author to make this mod fit my exact vision for what the ultimate member of the Nosferatu family should be. I'm not really a big fan of the base CFA-44 Nosferatu's armament. The ADMM is great, but the EML always played like a gimmick for me and the IEWS as implemented in Ace Combat 7 felt underwhelming and not that useful, really. I was aware of Ace Combat Infinity's QFA-44 Carmilla and how popular it is among fan circles, and back when I first conceptualized this mod, I was also heavily into using the ADFX-10F skins for the ADF-11F Raven, including its signature cameraless nose profile, which I prefer over the antiquated look of the regular version with, you know, the cameras. Then I thought: "wouldn't it be cool to combine both concepts?". It would be a neat exercise to make a more powerful and better performing autonomous fighter jet with features from the ADFX-10F and also some original concepts as well. After a lot of work into making the model, the skins, and turning them into an actual, usable mod, this is the result. This is a fast, heavily armored, heavily armed, state-of-the-art autonomous fighter jet that can be configured with two vastly upgraded SPWs from the base game, as well as an all-new concept, and all three are inspired by the Command & Conquer series in their appearance and lore. The name of the jet, of course, continues the tradition of being a homage to a vampire of legend and in this case, makes reference to The Elder Scrolls series, specifically TES V: Dawnguard, in which the Volkihar Clan is a major pure-blooded vampiric faction that you can either choose to take over or destroy. And finally, comes the designation. CFA-44 and QFA-44 both allude to the . 44 Magnum cartridge for revolvers. Similarly, MiraSuou's excellent CFA-50 Martolea is a reference to the gargantuan . 50 Action Express cartridge most famously employed by the Desert Eagle. I decided to go one step ahead and make it a homage to the . 308 Winchester, not employed in handguns, but in full-powered battle rifles and DMRs used by countless armed forces worldwide since the mid-20th century as 7. 62 x 51mm NATO.
