📋 About This Mod

Have you ever wonder why in Mission 13's briefing, there'll be bombers flying in the airspace, following you where ever you go or just loiter around, finding missile silos, while in reality, they're just nowhere to be seen as if they have crazy stealth mechanics (level 99, bro, WTF?) or just... flying out of bounds (as if they're high above you, outside your view)?

No friendly bombers in the area is driving you crazy? Where did the MOPs come from? What is this, some magic fairy bullshit? 😨

Well, worry no more! 🥳 This mod will fix that, with an addition to few quirks and treats you'll never see before.

How did you even get started into improving this little attention to detail?

Simple. Ally F-22A Mobius One mod is the spark of this idea.

From what I and the modding community understand about mission editing, at best, we can only add new actors that've been transplanted from one mission to another as missions are hardcoded; making a new mission requires reverse-engineering of the code and the game contents, to which the community is lacking of despite advancements on modding knowledge.

At the time I'm crafting an expansion pack and patch mod for such mod in question, I stumbled across the fact where there are no allied bombers visible in Mission 13 (Bunker Buster). I have a hunch that developers cut the idea of having bombers loitering around carrying MOPs (especially from B-2 bombers), with a concept that targeting the missile silos was meant to be complex; the target has to be kept lased until the bomber is in range to drop the MOP onto the lased target. A legendary dude named Keystone revealed more of this cut content in his PDF handout "Cut Combat 7 - Content Unknown" (the server I was in was nuked for reasons; I can't be assed to scour through X to find Keystone's post, so I shared a copy on my Drive here if you're interested), in which one of the parts of the cut content covers the idea of this, as well as "suicide UAVs" that, if you think about it, would be too extreme if it's a reality.

The bombers I add here are nothing more than just garnishing on your fried noodles or ramen, if you will. Depending on what bomber type you want to have in Mission 13, they may or may not help you clearing out enemy units in the area.

The Bombers

There will be 4 allied bombers flying in the airspace at the same time as your temporary Strider Squadron members. They will split up once you reached the first missile silo target.

You can choose either having 2 B-1B and 2 B-2A bombers, or all 4 having B-52H bombers in the area. These bombers sport unique skins tied to the squadron ident on your HUD (2 with callsign Striker 1 for B-1B, 2 with callsign Razor 1 for B-2A), and unique weapons for them that can help you making your job easier (by default, the Razors will focu
