F-14A -Heartbreak One '95-

This livery for the F-14A Tomcat (including the Top Gun: Maverick version too) depicts what could have been the Belkan War (1995)-era bird flown by everybody's favorite flight lead, Jack "Heartbreak One" Bartlett from Ace Combat 5.

Livery is based on F-14A BuNo 160408 as used by the USN VF-84 "Jolly Rogers" in 1993, featuring a more austere style than their "norm".

Comes in FS36375 all around with the vertical stabilizers and modex painted in lusterless black; other decals are in FS36081. Rescue decals were also redone (admittedly not 100% accurate to the real bird, but you can chalk that up to personal preference). Some liberties were obviously taken, including reimagining Wardog squadron as "VF-108" stationed on the then-new OFS Kestrel with OMDF instead of OADF markings as well as asymmetrical walkway panels. Considering the Belkan War took place much earlier in Bartlett's career, I decided to make him a LTJG at the time. Why? Who knows...

As with my previous skins, textures use BC7 compression with mipmaps disabled to improve in-game quality. Let me know what you think and if you encounter any bugs.

INSTALLATION:

Place the files you want to use in the AC7 game directory as follows:

ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\~mods\

If no ~mods folder is present then you can create one there.
