Darkstar Enhanced Special Weapons with Apollo IEWS

This mod mounts a special IEWS unit for the Darkstar specifically adjusted to augment all its weapons' lock-on range and flight speed, nicknamed "Apollo". This special unit is activated using droptank trigger (hold weapon switch button while relatively level) and is only active for a short duration. This is meant to be used in conjunction with Darkstar's capability to fly fast and put enough distance from which it can engage safely.

The IEWS unit works in conjunction with standard missiles, and also its special weapons which can be given optional upgrades:

• []SASM can be changed to QSASM - an improved version with wider lock angle, homing angle, and flight time, allowing it to loop after missing.

  []XSDB can be changed to XSFFS - similar in main properties (range, damage, blast radius) but also able to release several additional unguided bomblets.

  []PLSL can be changed to HPLSL - gains lock on capability and will hit target instantly, but slightly lower damage.

INSTALLATION

• []Download the mod archive file from Nexus

  []Unzip the file contents

  []Place the files you want to install to your game's ~mods/ folder

You can choose which weapon(s) you want to have. See the included Readme for details.

Latest version allows you to apply the swap to only skin slots of your choosing using the skin selector files (or to all skins with the All Skins file). The selected skin slot will then be incompatible with other Darkstar weapon swap mods. Keep in mind that ammo count is shared across skin slots. Supports application to Additional Skin Slots.

!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!

In hangar, the weapons will show their default name and model, but the change will apply in-game, if installed correctly.
