Wristwatch Portal Alerts

A UE4SS Lua mod that adds portal reset day awareness and an optional health indicator to your wristwatch. Never miss another portal reset - get visual and audio reminders right on your wrist. Or use your watch as a diegetic health display for no-HUD playthroughs.

Features

All features are independently toggleable. Disabled features register zero hooks and have zero performance cost.

Portal Reset Alerts

• []Weekday Dot Highlights - Portal reset day weekday dots on the wristwatch are drawn brighter than normal, so you can tell at a glance which days have resets. Configurable brightness

  []Day/Night Text Replacement - Replaces "DAYTIME" / "NIGHTFALL" with custom text (default: "RESET DAY" / "RESET PM") on portal reset days or the evening before. Fully customizable text and timing

  []Background Tint - Tint the wristwatch background color. Two modes: persistent (always on) and portal-day-only (overrides persistent on reset days). Independent colors, intensity, and timing for each

  []Portal Reset Beeps - Plays an extra beep cadence after the daybreak/nightfall chime on portal-related days. Unmistakable audio cue even if you're not looking at your watch

  Health Indicator (off by default)

  • []Health Background - Watch background color changes based on your current HP across 5 brackets at 20% increments: default (100-81%), green (80-61%), yellow (60-41%), orange (40-21%), red (20-1%). Colors were tuned for the watch's digital display and night-mode brightening filter. All colors and intensity are customizable

    []Health Text - Replaces the Daytime/Nightfall text with your health status. Two modes: Brackets shows customizable status labels at fixed thresholds (default: FINE at 100-67%, INJURED at 66-34%, CRITICAL at 33-1%), or Percentage shows your exact HP%

    When health features are enabled, they take priority over portal reset background tint and text replacement. Weekday dots and portal beeps are unaffected.

    Timing Options

    Text replacement, background tint, and beeps each have a When setting:

    • []Eve (default) - Activates the evening before the reset, giving you advance notice

      []Reset - Activates on the reset day itself

      Requirements

      • []UE4SS — Recommended: NexusMods release for Abiotic Factor (Oct 2025). Other builds may work but are experimental.

        Installation

        Vortex (Recommended)

        • []Install UE4SS if you haven't already from Nexus Mods

          []Click "Mod manager download" or "Vortex" on this page and you're done

            []Download and extract to [...]Steam\steamapps\common\AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64

          • Folder structure should be: Mods\WristwatchPortalAlerts\scripts\main.lua

            Verify it works: On game launch, check UE4SS.log for " MOD LOADING"

            To uninstall: Delete the Mods/WristwatchPortalAlerts/ folder.

            To temporarily disable: Rename or delete the enabled.txt file in the mod folder.

            Configuration

            On first run, the mod automatically generates config.lua in the mod folder. Edit this file to enable/disable features and adjust settings. The file is commented with descriptions and default values.

            When the mod updates with new options, your existing config is automatically patched - your settings are preserved and only missing options are added.

            Portal Reset Days

            By default, the mod tracks Sunday and Wednesday resets. Change the PortalResetDays setting if your server uses a different schedule:
