Faster Cooking

Food that actually finishes before the next portal storm.

Stoves, ovens, and the microwave all share one cook timer. This tiny UE4SS Lua mod speeds that timer up. Default is 2x vanilla — change it in one line if you want more (or less).

What it does

• []Speeds up frying, soups, baking, microwave food, and any other cook that uses a stove / oven / microwave.[/]

  []Default multiplier: 2 (twice as fast as vanilla — duration is halved).[/]

  []Burn window scales with cook speed, so food still burns if you leave it on.[/]

  []Does not change inventory crafting, Chemistry Bench, Distillation Bench, or other timers.[/]

  Requirements

  • []UE4SS for Abiotic Factor[/]

    Installation

    • []Install UE4SS if you have not already.[/]

      []Extract the FasterCooking folder into:[/]

    AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\
    • []Confirm you have this path:[/]

    ...\ue4ss\Mods\FasterCooking\Scripts\main.lua
    • []Do not nest an extra FasterCooking folder. enabled.txt is included, so you do not need to edit mods.txt.[/]

      []Disable other cooking-speed mods (they would stack).[/]

      []Restart the game (or Restart All Mods in the UE4SS console).[/]

      Configuration

      Open Scripts\main.lua. The first setting at the top is:

      local SPEED_MULTIPLIER = 2

      • []1 = vanilla[/]

        []2 = twice as fast (default)[/]

        []4 = four times as fast[/]

        []6 = six times as fast[/]

        Restart the game (or Restart All Mods) after changing it.

        Multiplayer

        Cooking is decided by the host. Put the mod on the host (or dedicated server). Other players do not need it for food to finish faster.

        Delete the FasterCooking folder. Nothing is written to your save.
