Custom Server Button

A UE4SS Lua mod that adds a one-click connection button to the main menu. Bypass the server browser and connect directly to your preferred server - no searching, no menus, just click and go.

  Requirements

  • []UE4SS — Recommended: NexusMods release for Abiotic Factor (Oct 2025). Other builds may work but are experimental.

    []Abiotic Factor (tested on v1. 2 Holiday Cryosphere Update)

    Installation

    Vortex (Recommended)

    • []Install UE4SS if you haven't already from Nexus Mods

      []Click "Mod manager download" or "Vortex" on this page and you're done

      • []Install UE4SS if you haven't already from Nexus Mods

        []Download and extract to [...]Steam\steamapps\common\AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64

        []Folder structure should be: Mods\CustomServerButton\scripts\main.lua

        Verify it works: On game launch, check UE4SS.log for " MOD LOADING"

        To uninstall: Delete the Mods/CustomServerButton/ folder.

        To temporarily disable: Rename or delete the enabled.txt file in the mod folder.

        Configuration

        • []Server IP - supports both domain names (myserver.example.com) and direct IP addresses

          []Port - defaults to 7777 (standard Abiotic Factor port)

          []Password - optional, leave blank if your server doesn't require one

          []Button text - display whatever you want ("Favorite Server", "Play with Friends", etc.)

          []Button icon - choose from 80+ options listed in the included icon-list.txt

          []Text and icon color - RGB values from 0-255 for precise color control (default: cyan-green)

          Changes take effect on game restart.

          Mod conflicts

          May conflict with other UE4SS mods that modify the main menu. If you experience issues with multiple mods installed, try disabling other mods to isolate the conflict.

          Reporting Issues

          When reporting issues, please include: UE4SS version, game version, other installed UE4SS mods, and UE4SS.log
