📋 About This Mod
Adds proper and functional aim-down-sights support to compatible weapons in Abiotic Factor, including weapon-specific first-person alignment, animation handling, and smooth transitions into and out of ADS.
Description
ADS-Aim Down Sights adds functional aim-down-sights support to a selection of ranged weapons in Abiotic Factor.
The mod enables the game's existing Aim Down Sights behavior for supported weapons, supplies compatible first-person animations where needed, and adjusts each weapon's first-person position so its sights align with the center of the screen.
Weapon movement transitions smoothly into and out of the aiming position rather than snapping instantly. Each supported weapon family uses its own alignment settings because the models, sights, and first-person holding positions differ.
The mod automatically grants the Aim Down Sights perk while needed, so it does not require selecting the associated Security profession trait when creating a character.
Installation instructions
Install like a normal UE4SS Abiotic Factor mod.
You should be able to extract the archive contents directly into your game installation path, such as C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AbioticFactor or similar.
For manual installation:
-
[]Place the ADS-AimDownSights mod folder into: AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods[/]
Start the game, load a save, equip a supported weapon, and use the normal Aim Down Sights input (generatelly right-mouse-button).

Compatibility notes
Only the weapons listed above currently receive custom sight alignment.
Other mods that replace the first-person weapon animations, modify the same weapon animation data, alter the Aim Down Sights perk, or reposition the player's first-person arms may conflict with this mod.
Weapon model replacements may also require different alignment settings even when they replace an otherwise supported weapon.
Requirements
Requires UE4SS for Abiotic Factor.
This mod also uses the UE4SS Lua helpers included with the supported Abiotic Factor UE4SS installation.
