📋 About This Mod

Item Spawner gives you console access to all items in Abiotic Factor. Spawn anything instantly - weapons, gear, food, materials - into your inventory or give items to other players in multiplayer. Features smart search, category browsing,

After spending way too many hours testing different approaches to inventory manipulation in Abiotic Factor, I've finally built a spawner mod that actually works reliably. No more crashes from invalid player objects, no more items disappearing into the void, and no more guessing item IDs.

This is my first released mod, please be easy on me! <3

📌 Notes / Edits

  • []Item ID spreadsheet: Item Spawner Database — only needed if you're on a version below 1. 2. From 1. 2 onwards the mod discovers every item live in-game, so you can just use search.[/]

[]Dedicated servers: make sure you launch with the -newconsole flag, otherwise the console commands won't come through.[/]

What It Does

Item Spawner hooks into Abiotic Factor's inventory system through UE4SS and gives you command-line access to every single item in the game. You can spawn items for yourself, give them to friends in multiplayer, search by name when you forget the exact ID, browse by category, and clean up any deployables you've placed.

The mod reads directly from the game's data tables - the same ones the developers use - so you're getting legitimate items with proper stats, not some hacky workaround that breaks on updates.

Why I Made This

Look, I love Abiotic Factor, but sometimes you just want to test something without grinding for materials. Or maybe your friend lost their gear to a bug and you want to help them out. The existing spawner methods either crashed constantly, had incomplete item lists, or required you to memorize cryptic spawn codes. I wanted something reliable that works in both singleplayer and dedicated servers.

Commands

give <player> <item_id>

The main command. Spawns items into your inventory or someone else's.

give Mango pistol_security

give food_bread 50

give ^ baton_U1 1

Special targeting options:

  • [] - Targets all players in the session[/]

[]^ - Targets yourself (the player who ran the command)[/]

    []"Name1, Name2" - Targets multiple specific players (comma-separated)[/]

Player names support partial matching, so you don't need to type the full name. "give man sword" will find "Mango" automatically. Item IDs and player names are both case-insensitive now, so type them however you like.

    search <text>

Can't remember if it's "pistol_security" or "security_pistol"? Just search for "pistol" and it'll show you everything that matches. Searches both the display names and spawn IDs, sorted alphabetically. Results are capped at 50 to keep your console readable.

    listcat <category>

Browse items by type. Want to see all available weapons?

listcat Weaponsshows you the complete list with spawn IDs. The main categories are: Weapons, Gear, FoodAndGibs, Craftables, Deployables, Deployables_Small, Deployables_CraftingBenches, Pickups, Plants, and Pets.

    categories

Shows all categories with item counts. Useful for finding out what's even available.

    listall

Dumps everything (first 100 items anyway - spitting out the entire list would flood your console). Mostly useful if you want to scroll through and see what exists.

    showplayers

Lists everyone in your session with an index number. Handy for seeing exact names when you want to give items to someone.

    removedeployable

Spawned a deployable that placed as an unbuilt frame and got stuck? Look right at it and run this. It'll name what you're aiming at, then run it again while still looking at it to confirm and it's gone. Use removedeployable cancel if you pointed at the wrong thing. (Singleplayer/host/client only - it needs your local view.)

    itemspawner

Brings up the help menu with examples. I keep forgetting syntax myself, so this gets used a lot.

    Nerd Details

The mod works by manipulating the

Abiotic_InventoryComponent_Cdirectly. When you spawn an item, it:

[]Finds an empty slot in the target inventory (validated to prevent crashes)[/]

[]Loads the correct data table fresh from the game's assets[/]

    []Creates a proper

DataTableRowHandlewith the right table reference and row name

[]Sets the item properties (durability, stack size) to their defaults[/]

    [*]Triggers the inventory replication callback
