Undead Legacy 2. 7.x UI Options Fix

The Problem

In Undead Legacy 2. 7, there is a known quirk where custom UI settings (such as Health Numbers, the Encumbrance Bar, Toolbelt hiding timers, etc.) do not properly initialize when you load into a savegame.

Even though your settings are saved, the HUD defaults to hiding them. To fix it, you normally have to open the Video Options, change one option back and forth, and then click "Apply" every single time you start the game.

The Solution

This extremely lightweight C# Harmony mod acts as an invisible helper. The moment you spawn into the world, it safely simulates the loading sequence of the UL Video Options in the background and forces your HUD to refresh with your actual saved settings.

No more clicking "Apply" on every game start. Your customized HUD is active from second one!

🛑 IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT 🛑

HARMONY IS STRICTLY REQUIRED!

Because early versions of Undead Legacy 2. 7 had issues with Harmony, many players got into the habit of deleting their 0_TFP_Harmony folder.

This fix requires Harmony to work! You MUST have the 0_TFP_Harmony folder (from the original 7D2D 2. 6 installation) in your Mods directory, otherwise the game will simply ignore this mod.

Features

  • []Zero Overhead: Uses native Harmony patching to run a single check on spawn.[/]

[]Crash-Proof: Dynamically finds the UI elements, meaning it won't crash your game if UL updates its code structures.[/]

[]Clean: Doesn't touch or edit any of Subquake's XML files.[/]

    Installation

    1. Ensure the 0_TFP_Harmony folder is present in your Mods directory!

    2. Extract the zCs_UL_UIOptionsFix folder into your 7 Days to Die Mods folder.

Pro-Tip: The very first time you load into your game after installing this mod, open your Video Options, verify your settings, and click "Apply" once. This ensures your registry values are perfectly clean. You will never have to do it again!

    Uninstallation

100% safe to uninstall at any time mid-playthrough. It does not touch your savegame or player data.
