📋 About This Mod
What Does This Mod Do?
This mod stops zombies from digging straight down in 7 Days to Die. You know how sometimes they get stuck above you and just decide to become mole people? Yeah, this fixes that.
By default, no zombies can dig downward. But if you want certain zombies (like the fat cop) to still be able to, you can add them to a simple list in the config file. Easy as that.
Does It Work on Client or Server?
Yep, this works great on both client and server. I tested it myself — it loaded and blocked digging just fine on both ends.
For the latest update, you actually only need this on your Server. Client doesn't need to download it! Also,
EAC CAN BE ON
How to Install
1. Grab the mod folder (called TheMeanOnes_ZombiesCantDig)
2. Drop it into your Mods folder:
3. For single-player: %APPDATA%\7DaysToDie\Mods
3a. For a dedicated server: drop it in the game/server’s Mods directory (Others dont need to install!)
4. Start the game and check the console — you’ll see a green log like:
Config loaded: Digging Enabled, Allowed Zeds: (your list here)
A Quick Few Notes
1. EAC Can be On or OFF with this Mod. So truly, its ServerSide Friendly.
2. The mod auto-generates a config file on launch. You can tweak it to allow specific zombies to dig by editing: NoZombieDiggingConfig.xml
3. Set WhitelistDigging to true and list any zombies you want to let dig. If you want none of them digging, just leave the list empty.
4. This mod only blocks downward digging — zombies can still break stuff horizontally like usual. So if you are in the side of a mountain, they can dig straight towards you, through your front entrance area in the dirt. BUT can NOT dig down on top of you.
5. If you're using this in an overhaul, just be sure to credit it and link back here so folks get the latest version. What this means is make this mod download link a dependency, so they download it fresh from my page. Do NOT just place it in your Mod folder.
6. Works in Version 2. 0 for the Recent release and also still maintains its integrity in v1. 0 - v1. 4 in the alternate download.
7. REQUIRES TMO- CORE TO FUNCTION (ALSO CAN BE SERVER SIDE)
